## Abstract

This rule changes the container and pack requirements currently prescribed under the Florida avocado marketing order. The marketing order regulates the handling of avocados grown in South Florida and is administered locally by the Avocado Administrative Committee (Committee). Currently, avocados packed in 33-pound containers must weigh at least 16 ounces. Avocados weighing less than 16 ounces must be packed in smaller containers. This rule removes the requirement that avocados packed in 33-pound containers must weigh at least 16 ounces. This change will provide greater flexibility in avocado packing operations.
