Abstract
This rule revises the handling requirements for California nectarines and peaches by modifying the grade, size, maturity, and container marking requirements for fresh shipments of these fruits, beginning with 1999 season shipments. This rule also authorizes continued shipments of ``CA Utility'' quality nectarines and peaches during the 1999 season with an increased percentage of U.S. No. 1 nectarines and peaches in each container. This rule will enable handlers to continue shipping fresh nectarines and peaches meeting consumer needs in the interest of producers, handlers, and consumers of these fruits.
