TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO REPLACED THE DRIVE SHAFT TWICE. ON THE SECOND OCCASION, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR END NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V796000 (POWER TRAIN) AND 14V817000 (AIR BAGS) BUT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000. UPDATED 7/1/15*CN THE CONSUMER STATED THE REAR LOCKED UP CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SPIN OUT AND ROLL INTO A DITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER.
