Narrative

The contact owns a 2019 Honda Ridgeline. The contact stated that while driving approximately at 50 mph, the vehicle crashed into a second vehicle causing severe damage to the front end. During the crash, the front driver seat belt pretensioner failed and did not secure the driver causing the driver to slide down the seat during impact. The driver sustained an injured left arm and injured upper torso which required medical treatment. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 26,700. The contact stated that the vehicle was totaled during the incident.
