The contact owned a 2013 Ram 1500. The contact stated that he was hit head-on by another vehicle. The contact stated that although the airbag warning lights illuminated the instrument panel; however, the airbags failed to deploy. The contact was taken to the hospital where he was treated for the soreness to his back. The other driver was able to walk away from the accident and appeared to not be injured. A police report was filed at the scene (DIV421070591). Due to the accident, the vehicle was towed to an independent tow yard and was deemed a total loss. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that there was a recall on the vehicle(recall unknown); however, he was informed that the recall was not related to the airbag failure.
