When blindsided by distracted driver in 2014 4 Dr. BMW sedan by striking a center island mount cause the vehicle to jump 4 feet. Struck my driver side quarterpanel to driver door at 50 to 80 mph. Send both across the intersection to opposite curve. I was up right and BMW was laying on dirver side. My curtain and airbag never deployed at all. No fire since inline fuses were cut off power to engine I was pinned in my driver side. Mechanical seats was my savior allowed me to roll seat back so after door was cut off. The airbag was never deploy at all and would protect me from cuts and bruises at distracted driver speeds.
