The contact owned a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe. The contact stated that while driving at 40-45 MPH, she was advised to veer to the side of the road as there was a fire underneath the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that she smelled a strong gas odor. The contact veered to the side of the road and quickly exited the vehicle. The contact stated that as she turned around, she saw the vehicle on fire. The contact was able to extinguish the fire with the assistance of the fire department. The contact did not sustain any injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot, where it was totaled. The dealer was notified of the failure.
