2019 ESCAPE ESCAPE — EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER:LPG SYSTEMS

The contact owns a 2019 Escape Trailer Industries Escape 1 equipped with a Suburban two-burner propane stove SDS2. The contact stated while they were cooking dinner on the stove, there was a gas leak and caused an explosion inside the RV. The contact stated he did not see any visible flames. The contact stated his facial hair was singe and his shirt was melted and his wife had a first-degree burn on the back of her left hand and also singe her facial and shoulder-length hair. The contact stated the following day, they seek medical attention at an urgent care. No police report was filed. The contact called the following day, a fire department, and made them aware of the failure, but was informed since he did not report to the police department they would not file a fire report. The contact called the manufacturer Suburban and was instructed to call the selected gas appliances technician to have the RV inspected. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted.
