## Narrative
In 2019 I purchased a used truck. It came with a Bulldog CCP locking hitch pin used to secure the hitch ball, and to prevent theft. Typically these units rust and get stuck in the locked position. This weekend I towed a small 5x8 trailer, and the locking hitch pin broke, or randomly became unlocked, causing the hitch ball to slide out of the receiver, and the trailer to crash to the ground.
