## Narrative
The contact owned a 2010 Lincoln MKX. The contact stated while driving at 30 MPH and crossing an intersection, another vehicle crashed into the passengerâs side of the vehicle and pushed the vehicle into oncoming traffic. As a result, another vehicle crashed into the driverâs side of the vehicle. The contact was knocked out unconscious. The contact was later informed that the driverâs side air bag had exploded and projected sharp fragments that caused injuries to her body. The contact was transported to the hospital with the assistance of emergency units. The contact was diagnosed with a subdural hematoma on both sides of the brain, six broken ribs, bruised sternum, subdural hematoma on the right breast, knee injuries, neck stenosis, bruises on the ankle, and on the entire right side of the body. Additionally, the contact sustain brain hemorrhage that required brain surgery. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot where it was totaled. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000.  The contact stated that the passenger side airbags were replaced. While waiting for the parts to replace the driver side airbags, the accident occurred and caused harm to the contact.
