Narrative

Today while driving the vehicle, the ABS light came on and other lights followed. The vehicle began to loose power. Pulled in the driveway and the vehicle was trying to catch on fire. There was smoke coming from the hood and the front passenger tire was what appeared to be melted/ bent away from the truck. I was able to spray water on the truck engine and stop the smoke and heat. Once I was certain the truck was not burning, I contacted the local chief of police and met with him to make a report. I had the vehicle for about a month. I had just replaced my 2014 dodge diesel that ignited during the night on March 22,2022. After an extensive fire investigation from the insurance department was undetermined of the cause. The insurance company reached out to Dodge which insisted there have been no problems. That vehicle had been parked for 10 hours. I have researched the multiple incidents involving 2013-2021 dodge diesels which consist of parked vehicles and vehicles being driven that have ignited. This can not be a coincidence that I have had 2 dodge diesel 2500 trucks that have this happen in a matter of 2-3 months. I am now left to report another fire claim on my insurance. I need answers and Dodge should be looking into these incidents. I contacted dodge direct when this happened today and they took my information and said it would be forwarded to “Tamara” to investigate and of no surprise, no return call.
