A fire started in the engine compartment of the 2018 Honda Ridgeline. The vehicle was being driven while towing a lightweight trailer. The driver pulled over to allow vehicles to pass and check the trailer. The driver allowed the engine to idle. As the driver returned to the vehicle she smelled and saw smoke then saw flames appearing from under the hood near the windshield on the driver's side of the vehicle.
