The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at approximately 25 MPH a vehicle in front came to a sudden stop, the contact stated that the vehicle is equipped with front collision avoidance equipment. The husband crashed into the rear end of the vehicle. The contact's vehicle had damage to the front bumper which was crushed following contact with the other vehicle's bumper and trailer hitch. The other vehicle suffered light scratch damage to the trailer hitch and bumper. The contact stated that the collision avoidance light was illuminated. There were no injuries, both vehicles were drivable. Additionally, the contact stated that the auto-high beam feature had stopped functioning. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure.
