On April 28th i was driving to work as usual in my tesla model y , and i am on a local road driving around 40-45 miles speed. I was always maintaining enough stopping distance and on one of the local road, a driver before me stopped abruptly because of Garbage Trash Can came and hit her car. I braked immediately and expected Tesla will stop before only but seems tesla did not brake till last second and i ended up pulling to the right most side to avoid collision and i ended up hitting Pole to save hitting any humans to the best of my ability to save lives. My biggest concern is why tesla emergency brake did not apply for forward collision? what went wrong? As far as i remember i put the brakes and it did not stop. if this happened on highway on higher speeds, my life would have costed along with others. Can we get this investigated with Tesla? i reached out to them no one cares to respond.
