The contact owned a 2007 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that after his son parked the vehicle outside near the sidewalk, and turning the off the vehicle, the contact's son exited the vehicle. Approximately 5-10 minutes later, his sonâs mother informed him that there was smoke coming from the front of the vehicle. The contactâs son was then informed by his mother that the vehicle was on fire. The vehicle then became engulfed in flames. The Fire Department was called to the scene and extinguished the fire. During the fire, the vehicle was destroyed and later towed away from the scene. A Fire report was filed, and the contact was informed that the fire was probably an electrical fire. The contact stated that the fire had started on the driverâs side front of the vehicle however, the cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 130,000.
