LED lights behind the burner knobs on the stove caught fire. When you turn on a burner there is a LED light behind the knob that lights up red to identify it is on. Turned it on to start cooking and while preparing food on the island after a few minutes smelled plastic burning. Turned around and a flame was coming out behind the burner knob. Quickly was able to extinguish it. Luckily I was standing right there. If not the scenario could have been a lot worse. I was able to remove the burner knob and found the the LED light had black burn marks on it which indicated where the flame was coming from. After that a portion of the LED light was not functioning and the other half would not go out. Had to totally disconnect the power source from the LED light.
