Car seat was in the driver's side captain's chair of a 2022 Toyota Highlander. Car seat was occupied by 3 month old female. Vehicle was stopped and rear ended near or at highway speed. Infant carrier detached from base (base stayed attached to the vehicle seat) and infant carrier went forward on to the floor in the space between the 2 captain's seats.
