The contact owned a 2013 Kia Soul. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked in the garage, it caught on fire in the front area, near the engine. The vehicle was unoccupied during the fire. The fire and police department weren't notified of the failure and the vehicle was destroyed. A police report was not filed. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V652 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair.  The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.
