Narrative

The contact owned a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked unoccupied and turned off, there was smoke coming from the vehicle. The contact stated the fuse box located on the passenger side of the vehicle had caught on fire. The fire was extinguished by the Fire Department. A fire report was filed, and a fire report number was provided. The contact was informed that the cause of the fire was that the fuse box failed. A police report was not filed. There were no injuries sustained. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The insurance company sent a fire investigator to determine the failure. The manufacturer also sent an investigator and confirmed that the failure was due to a faulty component in the vehicle but no further information was provided. The vehicle was destroyed.
