On several occasions the automatic emergency braking system on my vehicle has engaged for no reason. The vehicle applies the brake quickly with nothing in front or to the side of the vehicle. This sudden braking has almost caused me to be rear ended and has also caused a slight case of whiplash. Iâve contacted my Honda dealer and while they say theyâve had complaints I am told thereâs nothing in the works to remedy the issue. I was told to clean my vehicle front sensors (which were not dirty at the time of these instances) and thatâs all I could do. This has happened multiple times throughout my ownership of this vehicle with the last incident occurring in late September of this year.
