The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact exited the vehicle, left the door open, and the vehicle started to reverse independently. The contact stated that the front end of the vehicle crashed into a tree. The contact confirmed that the vehicle was in the park when it rolled away. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the air bags had not deployed. A Police report was filed. The vehicle was drivable and was taken back to the residence. No injury was sustained. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
