The contact rented a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, smoke was emitting from under the hood and entered the vehicle through the A/C vents. Other drivers were also waving down the contact attempting to notify there was smoke. The contact pulled over to the side of and immediately exited the vehicle. Shortly after there was an explosion and the vehicle caught on fire. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact and his daughter did not sustain any injuries. None of the air bags deployed.
