The contact stated that while driving 68-70 MPH, the vehicle stopped abruptly, causing another vehicle to crash into the rear passenger's side of the vehicle, and a second vehicle to crash into the rear of the vehicle, causing the trunk to be pushed inside the rear seats of the vehicle. The brake warning light was illuminated. The air bags of the contact's vehicle did not deploy. The air bags of the two other vehicles deployed. The contact stated that the rearview mirror separated and hit her head, causing a concussion. Additionally, the contact sustained whiplash, PSTD, and contusions on the back and on both ankles. The front passenger seat occupant of the second vehicle that rear-ended the vehicle sustained hip injuries, as the occupant was still recovering from a hip surgery that she had undergone prior to the collision.
