The contact stated that on a later date while her youngest son was entering the vehicle, the close button was depressed on the outside of the vehicle, and without any mechanism to prevent premature closure, his arm became stuck between the door frame and the door while the contact was inside the residence retrieving additional items to take the children to school. The contact stated that her older daughter was able to remove him from the vehicle. The contact stated that her son sustained injuries to his arm and had marks all over his arm where it was stuck between the door and door frame. There was no medical attention provided but an ice pack was placed on the part of the arm that was stuck in the door. The contact was concerned about the safety risk posed by the failure and the lack of a sensor or mechanism to prevent the door from closing while a person was entering or leaving the vehicle.
