The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan. While the contact's husband was driving 15 MPH, the front passenger's side headrest detached from the base and struck the contact in the back of the head extremely hard. The air bag had not deployed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with a detached headrest air bag. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer for assistance. The contact sustained a neck injury; however, no medical attention was needed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 114,000.
