Last week my charger was beeping and flashing red at the end of charging my 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 1st Edition. I cut the power at the breaker and unplugged the device to reveal there had been a fire in the outlet. The plug and outlet had melted together. My certified electrician was called out to diagnose the issue. They ran multiple tests and even replaced the outlet and plug. There are no issues with the electrical setup, however issues with JuiceBox persist. When powering the device back up the machine continued to blink red. We had tried to power the device with the car connected without luck. Later in the evening I received a notice on my car "Electrical system not working correctly. Please service the vehicle." We have cut power to the JuiceBox and will be disposing it. There were no electrical storms that week and all electronics in the house are working. JuiceBox could have burnt down my home and may have caused serious damage to my car's electric system.
