## Narrative
The contact owns a 1996 Toyota T100. The contact stated that while stopped at a stop light and adjusting the volume on the radio, the driver side air bag deployed without impact or warning. The contact stated that heavy, white smoke began to emit from the air bag as he was hit in the face by the air bag, which bruised his right cheek. A police report was not filed, and the contact did not receive medical attention. Despite the failure, the contact allowed the smoke to dissipate, moved the air bag away from his line of vision, and drove the vehicle home. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed; the contact also inquired about recalls and was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired or diagnosed and remained in the possession of the contact. The failure mileage was approximately 305,000.
