The contact owns a 2017 Jaguar XE. The contactâs wife stated that while driving at approximately 25 MPH, the vehicle unexpectedly accelerated. The brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to respond, and no warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle accelerated to an unknown speed, causing the contactâs wife to veer off the roadway and collide with a tree, where it came to a stop. The contactâs wife reported that the engine compartment caught fire upon impact and that the air bags deployed. As a result of the crash, the contactâs wife sustained a spinal injury and bruising.
