While parking my car in a parking spot at work I backed up a few feet to straighten the car out, when I shifted back into drive and transitioned from brake to accelerator pedal the car suddenly accelerated at a high rate of speed and hit the building totaling the car. I did not push the pedal down to make it accelerate that fast. I received a concussion and a broken sternum. If this had happened in traffic or in an area where people were present it could have been much worse. Toyota had the on board computer analyzed, and they say that there is no fault of the car. State farm is in the process of picking the car up due to the total loss. There were no warning lights or messages prior to the incident.
