The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while driving around a blind corner, when another vehicle started merging into the contact's lane, the contact avoided a crash with the vehicle however crashed into a ditch. The contact stated that the vehicle landed on the passenger's side, and there was a passenger seated in the front passenger's seat. The contact and the front passenger crawled out of the vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact later received a recall notification, NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V510000 (Air Bags). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the repair could not be performed. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer about eight times. The contact stated that each time the vehicle was taken to the dealer, the contact was informed that the repair could not be performed without a reason.
