Narrative

The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH for an unknown reason, a 2008 Honda Odyssey, making a turn, swerved in front of the vehicle, and a crash occurred. There were no warning lights illuminated. The driver struck the steering wheel and sustained a concussion, and had a severe strain, shoulder injuries, and an eye injury. The passenger sustained a fractured sternum, a concussion, and neck and pelvis injuries. They were transported to the emergency room at the hospital. The airbags did not deploy. The seat belts failed to restrain the occupants. A police report was filed. There was no reported fire. The vehicle was towed to an auto shop. The local dealer was contacted, who confirmed there were no recalls. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 2,300.
