The contact owns a 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid. The contact stated that upon pulling into a parking space and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated, and the front end of the vehicle crashed into a brick wall. The driver's side front and side air bags deployed. Bystanders turned off the vehicle, opened the front driver's side door, and assisted the contact out of the vehicle. It was unknown whether a warning light illuminated before or after the crash. The contact noticed smoke coming from under the hood. The contact's husband arrived at the scene and transported the contact to the residence. The contact was then transported to the hospital, where the contact underwent an EKG, a chest X-ray and a CT scan. The contact sustained trouble breathing from sternum pain and headaches. A police report was filed. There was no property damage. The vehicle was towed to a Crash Auto Repair shop, but an estimate of the damage was not yet available. The local dealer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired.
