## Narrative
ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED.  FIRST INCIDENT HAPPENED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE  CAUSED VEHICLE TO SLIDE INTO FRONT OF ANOTHER VEHICLE.   DEFECT WAS CORRECTED, AND  CONSUMER WAS TOLD IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE. SECOND INCIDENT OCCURRED  WHEN  CONSUMER'S  HUSBAND REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE DUE TO  EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE.   A MONTH AFTER THIS INCIDENT,  CONSUMER  RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE 99V193000,  AND TOOK  VEHICLE INTO  DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS.  ON MARCH 7, 2001, CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH WHILE ATTEMPTING TO SLOW DOWN TO MAKE A TURN  BRAKING SYSTEM WOULD NOT ENGAGE AND SLOW VEHICLE DOWN. *AK  THE ABS LIGHT HAD COME ON BEFORE THE BRAKE FAILUR.  THE ABS MODULATOR WAS FIXED ON RECALL.  THERE WAS ANOTHER RECALL FOR ABS COMPUTER.  *YH
