Bavi is moving west-northwest at 13 mph. Maximum\nsustained winds are 175 mph. Palau and Yap sit on the southern sector\nof Bavi and its large circulation.\n\nAlthough Yap and Palau are expected to remain outside of Bavi's direct\nwind field, surging west to southwest winds around 20 to 30 knots with\ngusts of 40-45 knots are expected to develop across Palau and Yap.\nThese stronger gusts are most likely to occur near heavier showers\nand rainbands.\n\nHazardous marine conditions are on tap the next several days due to\nthe above conditions. Inter island travel will be hazardous and\ndangerous surf will establish along west and north facing reefs\ntonight.
