For the Wind Advisory, northwest\nwinds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected, strongest in\nthe foothills and mountains.\n\n* WHERE...Santa Barbara County Interior Mountains, Santa Barbara\nCounty Southeastern Coast, Santa Barbara County Southwestern\nCoast, Santa Ynez Mountains Eastern Range, and Santa Ynez\nMountains Western Range.\n\n* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM PDT Thursday. For\nthe Wind Advisory, until 4 AM PDT Thursday.\n\n* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree\nlimbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.\nThere is a high risk for dangerous heat illness for anyone,\nespecially for the very young, the very old, those without air\nconditioning, and those active outdoors.\n\n## Instructions\nWinds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high\nprofile vehicles. Use extra caution.\n\nDrink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of\nthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.\n\nDo not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car\ninteriors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.\n\nTake extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose\nfitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning\nor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and\nheat stroke.\n\nTo reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and\nHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in\nshaded or air conditioned environments.
