Critical fire weather conditions will\nreturn today due to southeasterly winds of 20 to 30 mph with\ngusts up to 45 mph. Minimum relative humidity is forecast to drop\ndown as low as 15 percent. Any fires that ignite will spread\nrapidly and become difficult to control. Stronger winds and\ncontinued low relative humidity are then expected for Thursday\nand Friday across all of western through central North Dakota,\nincluding the James River Valley. Therefore, a Fire Weather Watch\nhas been issued Thursday through Friday as well.\n\nThe National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Red Flag\nWarning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect\nfrom 10 AM Thursday to 9 PM CDT Friday.\n\n* WINDS...West 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.\n\n* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 18 percent.\n\n* AFFECTED AREA...Much of central North Dakota, including the\nJames River Valley.\n\n* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become\ndifficult to control or suppress.\n\n* AFFECTED AREA...All of western and central North Dakota.\n\n## Instructions\nA Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions\nare either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of\nstrong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can\ncontribute to extreme fire behavior."}
