Winds around this circulation will interact with a southerly\nto southwesterly cross-equatorial flow to produce an unusual, but\nnote-worthy southwesterly swell of 2 to 4 feet. While this occurs, a\nnearby surface trough that extends east from 90W through Pohnpei and\nMajuro, will allow a circulation east of Majuro to head west and\npotentially \"link up\" with 90W sometime next week. This would allow\nfor locally heavy showers to continue through Monday, possibly\nlonger.\n\nTHE WEATHER \"WRAP-UP\" IN A \"NUTSHELL\"\n\n- Periods of LOCALLY HEAVY showers will continue through Monday.\nRainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches, locally up to 6 inches, remain\npossible through Monday.\n\n- Heavier showers may produce an isolated wind gust of 25 knots.\n\n- An atypical south to southwest wind will continue through at least\nMonday, possibly longer, accompanied by a southwest swell of 2 to 4\nfeet.\n\n- Minor coastal erosion is possible for south through west-facing\nreefs.\n\nFor more information, please stay up to date with the latest\nforecasts at www.weather.gov, and also check with your local Weather\nService Offices in Yap and Chuuk."}
