The Air Quality Index\n(AQI) is expected to reach the Purple or Very Unhealthy category.\n\n* WHERE...Northwest Minnesota\n\n* WHEN...Until 11 AM CDT Friday.\n\n* IMPACTS...Everyone will be affected by wildfire smoke in these\nconcentrations. Minor trace amounts of ashfall are possible.\n\n* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Dense smoke will continue to spread westward\nacross northern Minnesota along a quasi-stationary front. The smoke\nwill persist until at least Friday, and this alert may need to be\nextended.\n\n## Instructions\nSensitive groups, such as people with lung disease (including\nasthma), heart disease, and children and older adults, should remain\nindoors and keep activity levels low. The general public should avoid\nall physical activities outdoors.\n\nReduce or eliminate activities that contribute to air pollution, such\nas outdoor burning, and use of residential wood burning devices.\nReduce vehicle trips and vehicle idling as much as possible.\n\nKeep windows closed overnight to prevent smoke from getting indoors."}
