Water levels as of 1:45 pm Thursday were at\n25.56 ft at the USGS river gage and continuing to come down. Water\nlevels will drop fast through Thursday afternoon into the evening\nhours. For reference, the crest of this release is similar to river\nlevels as of last years outburst flooding event.\n\nThe USDA Forest Service has reported to NWS of a failure of a dike\nalong the river. This failure is producing damaging impacts to the\nFish Creek Bear Viewing area. Stay away from the flooded area.\n\nAnother potential impact area for this event is the road from Hyder\nto Premier, Canada at around mile point 9 along the Salmon River.\n\nBe aware of debris in the water. Very cold water will increase the\nthreat of hypothermia. Please report any observed impacts or damage\nto the National Weather Service."}
