This will\npose a moderate to major risk of heat-related illness.\n\n* WHERE...Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon and Washington,\nLower Columbia Basin of Oregon and Washington, Foothills of the\nNorthern Blue Mountains of Oregon, Yakima Valley, and Foothills of\nthe Blue Mountains of Washington.\n\n* WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 9 PM PDT Thursday.\n\n* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.\n\n* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heat will begin today, with widespread\nmoderate and locally major HeatRisk.\n\nWednesday looks to be the hottest day, with Major HeatRisk across\nthe Columbia Basin, Yakima Valley and portions of the Gorge and Blue\nMountain Foothills.\n\nThursday will also see widespread moderate HeatRisk and locally\nmajor HeatRisk, mainly across the Columbia Basin.\n\nSmoke from area wildfires could end up affecting how hot\ntemperatures get.\n\n## Instructions\nDrink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of\nthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and\npets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any\ncircumstances.\n\nTake extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When\npossible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or\nevening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat\nstroke.
