Isolated, shallow flows over roadways is possible.\nA few flood-prone, low-water crossings may become impassible.\n\n* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...\n- At 539 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicate\nearlier heavy rain across the Goose Creek and Crooked Creek\nwatersheds has ended.  Light showers persist across the Advisory\narea, but these showers will not exacerbate ongoing excessive\nrunoff and stream rises. However, North Fork Crooked Creek and\nSouth Fork Crooked Creek continue to rise with bankfull\nconditions possible over the next 1-2 hours before these streams\ncrest.  Therefore, the Flood Advisory will remain in effect\nthrough at least 9pm to allow streams to crest and conditions to\nimprove. Isolated areas of nuisance flooding may be ongoing in\nareas from Matthews to Indian Trail to Hemby Bridge, especially\nadjacent to the north and south forks of Crooked Creek.\n\n- Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to\ndevelop through the early overnight in the vicinity of the\ncurrent Advisory area.  These showers and storms will be very\nefficient at producing brief periods of heavy rainfall. Where\nearlier heavy rainfall has occurred, soils are saturated and\nstreams are elevated.  Therefore, additional heavy rain may\nquickly create new areas of flooding and cause previous areas of\nflooding to redevelop.  Caution is advised near any stream or\nother vulnerable area.  Stay weather aware through this evening\nand have multiple ways to receive Advisories and Warnings.\n\n- Some locations that may experience nuisance floodinginclude...\nMatthews, Indian Trail, Unionville, and Hemby Bridge.\n\n- Http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood\n\n## Instructions\nTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood\ndeaths occur in vehicles.\n\nBe aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.\n\nStay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become\nunstable and unsafe."}
