Runoff from storms is expected to\nmaintain flash flood conditions. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain\nhave fallen.\n\nHAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.\n\nSOURCE...Radar indicated.\n\nIMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,\nhighways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor\ndrainage and low-lying areas.\n\nSome locations that will experience flash flooding include...\nMainly rural areas of East Central Jeff Davis County.\n\n## Instructions\nTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood\ndeaths occur in vehicles.\n\nIn hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are\npotentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded\nroads. Find an alternate route.\n\nFlooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where\nyou are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become\nkillers in heavy rains.
