For the Heat Advisory, heat index\nvalues up to 102 expected.\n\n* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and west central\nIllinois and central, east central, northeast, and southeast\nMissouri.\n\n* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 10 PM CDT Friday. For\nthe Heat Advisory, from 10 PM Friday to 8 PM CDT Saturday.\n\n* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during\nextreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high\nhumidity may cause heat illnesses.\n\n## Instructions\nDrink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of\nthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and\npets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any\ncircumstances. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time\noutside. When possible reschedule strenuous activities to early\nmorning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion\nand heat stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when\npossible. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety\nand Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks\nin shaded or air conditioned environments.
