This event will not be\nlong in duration, lasting around 24 to 48 hours. It will bring\nheavy rain during most of the event, with the most likely scenario\nbeing 2 to 4 inches of rain over 24 hours. There is an 80% chance\nof greater than 2 inches in 24 hours and a 60% chance of greater\nthan 3 inches of rain in 48 hours. There is also a 30% chance that\nrainfall totals approach or even slightly exceed 4 inches. That\nbeing said, no flooding is expected at this time. There are likely\nto be rises in river levels, but soil moisture is still low\n(around 50% to 60%). This means that most of the rain will be\nabsorbed into the ground. We will continue to monitor the\ndevelopment of this system and any possible impacts.\n\nAdditionally, the low pressure system is expected to bring\ndeteriorating marine conditions beginning Friday night. Seas\ncould build to 10 to 15 ft, with gale force easterly winds possible\nalong the northern Gulf coastal waters over the weekend."}
