Between 0.75 and\n1.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of less\nthan one tenth of an inch is possible through 415 PM MDT. Even though\nstorms have weakened, flash flooding is likely still ongoing.\n\nHAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.\n\nSOURCE...Radar indicated.\n\nIMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,\nhighways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor\ndrainage and low-lying areas.\n\nSome locations that will experience flash flooding include...\nTijeras, Cedar Crest, Sandia Park, Sedillo, Canoncito in Bernalillo\nCounty, San Antonito and Carnuel.\n\nThis includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 169 and 181.\n\nA weather station in Cedar Crest reported 1.73 inches of rainfall.\nAnother station just north of Cedar Crest also reported 1.37 inches.\n\n## Instructions\nTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood\ndeaths occur in vehicles.\n\nIn hilly or mountainous terrain there are numerous low water\ncrossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not\nattempt to cross flooded roads.
