The\nlatest forecasts brings the crest at Elkader lower due to lower\nforecast precipitation amounts this evening as well as a slower\nrouting from upstream locations. Much of the uncertainty in these\nriver forecasts stems from uncertainty in how fast the water will\nflow downstream with time.\n\n* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.\n\n* WHERE...Turkey River at Garber.\n\n* WHEN...Until Monday afternoon.\n\n* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, The earthen levee at Elkport is threatened,\njust upstream of Garber.\n\n* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...\n- At 2:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 19.9 feet.\n- Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.\n- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending\nat 2:15 PM CDT Saturday was 19.9 feet.\n- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.9 feet\njust after midnight tonight.
