For the Heat Advisory,\nheat index values up to 112 expected.\n\n* WHERE...Bastrop, Fayette, Lavaca, Lee, Travis, and Williamson\nCounties.\n\n* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM CDT this evening.\nFor the Heat Advisory, from 8 PM this evening to 8 PM CDT Thursday.\n\n* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during\nextreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high\nhumidity may cause heat illnesses.\n\n* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Overnight temperatures will stay in the 80s\nprompting a heat advisory to remain in effect through the\novernight hours.\n\n## Instructions\nDrink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of\nthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.\n\nDo not leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles. Car\ninteriors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.\n\nTake extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose\nfitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning\nor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and\nheat stroke.\n\nTo reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and\nHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in\nshaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat\nshould be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an\nemergency! Call 9 1 1."}
