Check up on relatives and\nneighbors. Never leave young children or pets in an enclosed vehicle,\neven for a short time, as temperatures can quickly rise to\nlife-threatening levels.\n\nKnow the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To\nreduce risk when outdoors, the occupational safety and health\nadministration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded\nor air conditioned environments.
