Showers will continue through the\nend of the week, with the bulk of the rainfall expected through\nThursday morning. Storm total rainfall during this time will be\naround 0.50\" to 1.00\". It has been very wet lately and this\namount of rain has the potential to bring the Chena and Little\nChena Rivers above minor flood stage beginning Thursday afternoon\ninto Friday.\n\n- This means low-lying and typical flood-prone areas may\nexperience areas of flooding through the end of the week as water\nlevels gradually rise then fall. In addition, while we are not\nexpecting much flooding away from rivers, streams and creeks, as\nthe ground is already saturated and may struggle to hold more\nwater. This can lead to pooling and ponding of water across the\narea which may make travel difficult in localized spots.\n\n- There is some uncertainty with exact timing and amounts of\nrainfall but as details become clearer, we will continue to\nupdate.\n\n- For more updated river information, please refer to\nwater.noaa.gov or weather.gov/aprfc\n\n## Instructions\nStay tuned to further developments by listening to your local radio,\ntelevision, or NOAA Weather Radio for further information.\n\nYou should monitor the latest forecasts and be alert for possible\nFlood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be\nprepared to take action should flooding develop."}
