In addition, the bulk of\nthe convective activity has shifted to a buffer circulation center\nnear EQ161E, taking away moisture from the area that could have\nfueled the expected intense showers near Pohnpei and Kosrae. As such,\nheavy rainfall and gusty winds are no longer likely to develop at\nPohnpei and Kosrae at this time, so this will be the last issuance of\nthis Special Weather Statement for this event.\n\nHowever, a southwest to west swell generated by persistent monsoonal\nwinds, as well as a stronger southeast swell produced by the southern\nITCZ-like features, will remain in the area and continue to produce\nsurf along south and west facing reefs of Pohnpei and Kosrae the next\nfew days. Even so, surf is not likely to reach hazardous levels."}
